“Tapping into The Spirit World” . . .
A Halloween Article
Jet Dana
10/14/06
Jet Dana is one of the authors of ‘GUP” / “Growing Up Psychic,” the real-life story of Anna Volpe Anuzzi, an internationally-known psychic about whom and with whom the book is written. This also coincided with a Halloween Book Signing at Borders, Plymouth Meeting Mall, Plymouth Meeting, PA 10/28/06 Noon to 2.
This article was written in relation to a radio Halloween presentation with Jet and Anna being interviewed by Camden County Community College’s, Sandy Tait, aired 10/28/06, 91.5 FM, WDBK-FM. Part of the program was taped at Jefferson Bldg, on the Camden County Community College's Blackwood Campus. Formerly a seminary, this building is well known in local lore for the tragic death of one of the seminary students, who became a lost soul; a ghost who walks the night . . .
Dracula, werewolves, and things that go “bump” in the night. . . All nonsense and foolishness designed to keep us on the edge of our seats, right? Maybe. And then again . . . maybe not . . .
Let’s start with the nature of reality. That can be our hard and fast launching point from which to explore these more esoteric topics, correct?
Wrong.
First off, this is an energy universe, and everything around us as well as we ourselves (at our most finite level) are energy, vibrating at various frequencies. The lower the frequency, the more dense an object might seem. The higher the frequency, the more ethereal the object might appear to us . . . in this dimension . . . with our physiology.
Hmmmmmm. . . .
There really is . . . nothing hard and fast . . . in the universe. Now there’s a fact to soothe your jangled nerves. But we can always believe what we see, right? Ummmmm . . .
Perception is a central issue in epistemology, the theory of knowledge. (1)
If you looked at something without a preconception of what it might be, would you recognize it for what it is; or would you believe it to be something different? Adults, or near-adults, blind from birth, suddenly given the gift of sight, encounter profound difficulties with visual perception, thus it would seem that . . . sight; that which we perceive as we “see” . . . is to a great degree a learned experience.
“The Spectrum of Reality encompasses both that which we can see and measure as well as that which we can neither see nor measure. Our human senses detect only about 5% of reality. Scientists can measure, perhaps another 10%, above and below our sensory range. The remaining 85% is the non-physical. It has been called quasi-physical, supernatural, mystical, spiritual, astral, and/or celestial.” (3)
From the teachings of Don Juan Matus, a master in North American mysticism; ancient indigenous Toltec sorcery, as set forth by Carlos Castaneda, a South American anthropologist who studied with him over three decades . . . summarized here briefly . . . we live in parallel worlds of the material and non-material. The world around us is not really as we believe it to be. It is not a world of objects; and we all fall prey to the mistake that seeing . . . is done with the eyes. It is not so important what we see; more important what we feel. The trick is . . . to feel with your eyes.
Don Juan believed there are entities in the world which act on people. They are here, around us at all times, but in the daylight it is more difficult to perceive them. The world is familiar by day. Familiarity takes precedence. In the darkness, however, everything is equally strange and few things take precedence. We are more susceptible to those entities at night.
Sound is a form of energy. Think about dogs and their range of sound. They can hear higher frequencies than our bodies are designed to hear. We don’t hear those sounds, but they still exist. You can see the evidence of that when you blow one of those supersonic whistles that only the dogs can hear, and Fido comes running.
Wouldn’t you say, then, since we know other living things can hear sounds that we can not, that there exists every possibility that others might “see” things, as well, that exist at some other frequency, maybe in some other time and place, that the rest of us do not see. . . or see differently? Perhaps they have the ability to tap into other dimensions; maybe even travel backward and forward through time, in a sense, retrieving bits and pieces of some bewildering other reality; or even relevant information; relevant, that is, to their circumstances at the moment. Perhaps their perception is quite different from our own. Perhaps they are “looking” with no preconceived notion as to what it is they will see. Perhaps they have developed their Sixth Sense, their ability to tap into . . . the non-material world.
Many clairvoyants see and communicate with other entities around them, invisible to the rest of us, who provide them with information from the past as well as from the future. Others just get a sense of “knowing”; not ever being completely positive where these insights are coming from; unless they have made the attempt, at someone’s request, to contact someone specific who has passed on.
Thoughts are a form of energy. Once you think something, that thought is out there. . . in the cosmos somewhere, floating around for the more perceptive among us to retrieve, like some scribbled note tossed carelessly aside for someone else to pick up and decipher. Einstein, once said, “The distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.” If everything that is, was, and will be exists concurrently in some ethereal soup; then, it could be entirely possible that some people would be perceptive enough to reach into this mix and see some things that others would not; just as some people would have a “knowing” of past or future events, while others would not. Perhaps we could all learn to “filter” things at a more finite level; like panning for gold with a device that catches even the dust. . . . if we are brave enough . . . to want to do so.
To take it all this non-physical realm stuff one step even further, just try to imagine . . . according to “Seth” . . . an other-worldly entity who spoke through one of the first documented mediums, Jane Roberts, in an attempt to instruct and inform and guide those who are willing to believe . . . our reality, this brick and mortar world we live in . . . may have begun as a dream . . . the dream of a magnificent force that exists in the universe . . . the Source. . . who could also conceivably be known. . . as God. Alone in the universe, lonely, dreaming dreams . . . the same dreams . . . over and over . . . until they gained strength and power . . . and manifested in the material world. Dreams as the beginning of reality? Maybe. Possibly. Just ask any Olympic champion.
Dreaming and the nature of reality, the commonplace, everyday acceptance of non-reality as an element of everyday reality, is a common thread woven into the fabric of the indigenous cultures. Much of what they believed was discarded as science and technology became the primary motivating force of our time. Many of these philosophies are being resurrected, however, as it has since been determined that there is a broader correlation between indigenous philosophy and general science than was once believed.
“It is believed that Earth is what is deemed as a “free will zone” the ongoing battle between the positive and negative forces, the dark vs light.”(2)
In fact, there may even be “battle zones” where these energy forces are even more prone to hash it out. These lines, known as “ley” lines or dragon lines (or dragon currents) are reputedly lines that form an energy matrix around the earth; energy conduits that form an energy grid. They might be considered “psychic and supernatural subterranean Highways. Along these mystical subterranean routes . . . are the hyper dimensional worlds. . . and electromagnetic vortex gateways . . . beneath the earth and its waterways.” (5) There are theories that these conduits might even extend far beyond the earth, in fact; out into the universe.
“When tides of magnetic energy wash over the earth, the lines are charged. They are most charged when there is a full moon or solar storm.” (6) They are known to have anti-gravity properties.
This is ancient, maybe even primal knowledge as evidence exists all around the globe in various forms . . . mounds, statues, pyramids, great cathedrals, buildings of influence and political might, “sacred sites” . . . having been built on the lines themselves or even potentially on the “nexus points,” places of purportedly even greater power, where two lines intersect. (For more on this, search archaeogeodesy, sacred sites, or earth matrix on the web.) There are even theories that at these nexus points, a “rift” may be formed, causing a tear in reality. Could this be the answer to the Bermuda Triangle as well as the other places on earth where people and objects venture in never to be seen or heard from again?
The Native American Indians called these energy lines spirit lines, and, in fact, may have designed their medicine wheel on this basis.
The forces that use these ley lines could be natural . . . as well as supernatural. “Some of the strange and supernatural events and forces associated with ley lines are The Wild Hunt (a folk myth involving a phantasmal group of huntsmen on horseback with hounds in mad pursuit across the sky), phantom animals (not ghosts, necessarily; maybe even magical creatures), moving lights, ghosts, fairy processions, and a flight path for witches (and maybe . . . UFOs!)” (4) Should we add the “Jersey Devil” sightings to this list? This creature has been among us since sometime around 1735; with sightings reported every year mostly around the Pine Barrens in New Jersey, but also in Philadelphia and New York.
The lines may originally have been used in connection with astronomy, rituals, and ancient burial grounds from which the dead could find the pathway to make their journey into the next life. The term netherworld has been used in association with them as well.
Ghosts, which have been known to appear in many forms, are often seen as balls of energy that float around . . . or “mists,” known as ectoplasm that hang in the air and appear as a concentrated vapor, often mimicking an old faded black and white photo in that there may be an image visible to the discerning eye. Spiritual entities, such as ghosts, may inhabit places of high energy, such as ley lines, in attempt to recharge themselves. After all, they can no longer eat or drink, as the rest of us do. They may also use these energy conduits as roads, traveling as small orbs of light; even grouping together in perhaps what was once a family unit of some sort or another, and spinning off into individual orbs as they deem fitting to do so.
A vortex is a white column of whirling ectoplasm, reportedly a rip in our dimension which is used as a gateway for the spirit world. There are reports, however, of spirit entities taking this form, as well, and some of them performing pranks along the nature of a poltergeist, a “young” ghost . . . full of mischief.
What are they? No one knows for sure, but many believe a ghost is the spirit of a person who has died and somehow got stuck between this plane of existence and the next. Perhaps the person died under very traumatic, highly-emotional circumstances and remains confused; perhaps not even understanding he or she is dead.
We can sometimes “sense” a presence we cannot see, or see turbulence in the air around us when there is no physical reason for it. Sometimes we might “hear” an unidentifiable sound; or a sound related to someone or something that no longer exists in this dimension. Sometimes it is a matter of a certain smell that gives us pause, or we might even get “tapped” or “bumped” without any reason. We may just see little specks of light out of a corner of one eye, even in a totally dark room with no windows; or objects around us may keep disappearing, only to reappear in the original place we “thought” we left them in the first place.
A “haunting” may be a kind of “recording” of some highly-charged past event that has been permanently imprinted somehow, on its environment. This event plays back, over and over, in some kind of never-ending loop. The dead person’s laughter echoing in a familiar hallway; a civil war soldier still seen at the spot he stood guard; even the whistle of a long-ago train . . . where there are no longer any tracks.
There is said to be a library of all events and responses concerning Consciousness in all realities. This is The Akasha, and it is comparable to some great universal computer. Perhaps what happens with a haunting is somehow similar to what happens when working on a project on a computer, “saving” the file, but maybe in haste, not following the process exactly. The information ends up in a temporary file somewhere, not easily accessible; lost. Perhaps a haunting is a universal “lost” file. Or . . . maybe some of the time, at least.
There are malevolent spirits which thrive on negative energy, and, therefore, work to create situations which build negative voltage. People who participate in satanic rituals may very well open up a gateway for one . . . or more . . . of these spirits who will then come “in” and attempt to gain control. This is an awful and awesome power that should not be tempted with an invitation into anyone’s life. The results can be devastating; life-changing, and not in a good way!
Exorcism attempts to rid people of unwanted negative spirits. Feng Shui, an ancient Chinese science, attempts to balance energy in a home to avoid opening up pathways for negative energy, especially important if one is located on an energy line.
Traveling along an energy line could put you right in the pathway of any entity . . . good or bad. . . traveling along the same energy highway; any entity that might live . . . in the hyper dimensional world.
Dracula, werewolves, and things that go “bump” in the night? Myths? Myths, so they say, may very well have at least one toe in reality, and maybe even more . . . depending on who’s reality you’re talking about, whether its day or night, whether you are looking with or without preconceived notions about what it is you’re going to see, and, who knows, depending on where you might be in relation to the mystical subterranean routes, the hyper dimensional worlds, and the electromagnetic vortex gateways.
Hmmmmm.
Now, time for bed? Well, good night . . . Sleep tight . . . my little pretty . . . (fade to wild, manical, cackling laughter . . . )
